WOCo Emerging Artists receive mentoring to experience preparing for and staging an opera in a supportive company environment at an early stage in their professional careers. This is what some of the cast said of last year's experience of the Magic Flute,

‘It was really great as the flute player in The Magic Flute to talk to the singers and work out together how to coordinate the action on stage with what I was playing. This close contact between instrumentalists and singers is an opportunity that I have not experienced when working for other productions.’ Ami Lodge, Flautist

‘I cannot thank the team enough for a wonderful (and too short) time spent with them. It was truly fantastic! It has been incredibly beneficial for me to have this first exposure to singing and acting with orchestra in front of very large audiences. It was also a real privilege to work with such talented and interesting people.’ Dominic Bevan, Tamino

‘WOCo 2017 has been a fantastic experience far beyond my expectations. I have grown as an artist and had the opportunity to work with a brilliant team as well as talented, generous colleagues. I could not imagine a more ideal situation to have prepared and performed my first Papageno. I sincerely hope I can return one day!’ Ed Jowle, Papageno

And the experience for audience members is also compelling as one said,
I wanted to write to say thank you to you and the company as we were at Panloy last night to see the Magic Flute. Some really lovely voices in a beautiful place. You have, I think some very talented people and my wife and I are so pleased we found out about it and came along. Thanks again and our very best wishes for the future of the company.’

By supporting WOCo you can ensure that such an experience is offered to Emerging Artists and Audience members alike. On Kickstarter you will find out more about what we are trying to achieve in our 10th Anniversary Season and can pledge your support. You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter @WOCo_opera.
