Each year WOCo provides a learning opportunity for singers, players and production team members to build an opera from rehearsals in London to a fully staged production with orchestra performed in the idyllic setting of the Chateau de Panloy in South West France. 

WOCo’s Emerging Artists programme is designed to support the artistic development of talented singers and players at the beginning of their careers. Young artists are given coaching and mentoring by the Musical Director, Director and Leader culminating in a 2-night performance in France. Rehearsals take place in London from mid-July and the company moves to France for stage rehearsals at the end of July, with performances in early August.

Our generous supporters enable accommodation and subsistence to be covered in France, emerging artists are paid an honorarium to support their involved in this learning and mentoring experience.
